TPP Work Groups |
Provider Outreach |
The Provider Facilities Outreach work group seeks to increase
the accurate placement/reading of TB skin test and reporting
of TB reactors and converters by Santa Clara County (SCC)
medical facilities and Medical Groups. Toward that end,
the work group has developed a “train the trainer” project
to train and certify participants in the accurate
placement/reading of TB skin tests and trains more than
40 nurses annually.
By publishing a annually up-date and reminder
about these regulations in a local communicable
disease newsletter, this work group also ensure all
hospital discharge and transfer requirements are met
relative to TB patients.
The Cultural Competence work group seeks to increase
access to culturally competent TB-related services in
Santa Clara County (SCC). The activities of this work
group are currently on hold awaiting funding.
